Lately I have been obsessed with watching the History Channel's “Storage Wars” series. If you haven’t seen it, go check it out here. Yesterday I came across this auction that ended at $10,100 on Ebay. The description of the auction states, "COMIC COLLECTION WAS BOUGHT FROM A STORAGE AUCTION, THAT WAS PAID FOR MULTIPLE YEARS IN ADVANCE, BUT HASN'T BEEN ACCESSED IN OVER 3 YEARS (according to the storage unit manager)."
I think that is what interests me in this TV show. People have thousands of dollars worth of stuff that they store in these storage sheds only to end up missing payments, at which time the storage facilities sell the contents in the units. Check out this lot: I see an Action Comics #1 there. I can only assume that is a reproduction, but if it is not then that is an amazing find.
