Telltale, a leader in episodic adventure games, recently confirmed that they signed a deal with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment that would allow them to bring the hit series, The Walking Dead, to video game format. In addition to adapting the series for a PC game, Telltale said in a recent announcement that they will also make the game for multiple platforms including Macs, consoles, and mobile devices.
Telltale said that the game will be in an episodic format, however, they are keeping quiet on the rest of the details. They haven't given any indication as to how the game will unfold or what they can expect from the game, but they are confident that the game will do well. The senior VP of Marketing at Telltale made the bold statement that they are expecting to sell 1 million units of the game, compared to around the 200,000 units they sell with their other games.
Also lacking from Telltale's statements was a release date. They have not yet said what the timeline for releasing the game is, though they did mentioned the sales of the game will occur during 2011.
