Not to be completely outdone by DC and their New 52 hoopla, Marvel gives us some teasers of their new X books to get excited about in the coming months. These post-Schism storylines are being labeled “X-Men: Regenesis” and include two new #1’s: “Wolverine and the X-Men,” and, “Uncanny X-Men.”
Marvel has been revealing these teaser covers slowly and each gives us a look at what’s ahead for the X-Men universe after the monumental shift that Schism introduced. The covers all feature a major, recognizable character front and center, but behind them are black silhouettes of either new or existing characters, literally teasing us with who they might be. If you can figure them out, you’ll have a better idea as to what side these characters have chosen after the divisive events of Schism.
While all the images so far are interesting glimpses into the future of the X-Men, nothing has me more excited than the X-Factor cover with Havok. While the art on these teasers might be a little lacking (that Havok looks more Tron-like, than anything…), I’m hoping that Havok has come back as full-time leader of X-Factor and Madrox is riding shotgun once again.
