There’s a hefty amount of headline puns to be had with the new Secret Avengers; for instance,“The Secret’s out!” or perhaps, “Marvel’s least kept Secret,” but instead of directly bludgeoning you with those, let’s just move right into this exciting story.
We knew that lauded writer Rick Remender was teaming up with equally lauded artist Gabriel Hardman and taking over Secret Avengers, but we didn’t have many details beyond that until Marvel released images and info of the full team this week, and it looks great: Ant Man, Beast, Captain Britain, Hawkeye, Valkyrie, Venom, and even more promised to come.
“Our opening arc will have a big secret war, a big secret new world, a big secret new race, a big team death, a big secret team betrayal, and begin a secret affair. Kicking off this January in Secret Avengers #21.1 by Remender and red-hot artist Patrick Zircher, fans can get a taste of what we’ve got planned before Gabriel Hardman jumps on board as the ongoing artist with Secret Avengers #22.
