Waiting for Wednesday November 23rd

Get out of your Monday funk by looking ahead to Wednesday November 23 and all the new comic-book releases that better day brings! It’s Thanksgiving week, and I looked high and low for a Thanksgiving-themed story to feature in this week’s releases, but couldn’t find any. Why is that, you suppose? Thanksgiving is being eradicated from the earth, taken over by the ever swelling Christmas season, that’s why (but that’s for another column, perhaps). Anyway, pick of the week: Fantastic Four #600. Marvel says of this issue, “FOREVER PART 1 The 50^th anniversary issue of the Fantastic Four! Join us for the epic celebration of Marvel’s First Family with 96 pages of all-new content!” With a hefty price tag of $7.99, I just hope that’s an interesting 96 pages, and if you’re a Fantastic Four fan, you know how hit or miss they can be. So, that’s it for this week. We hope you go and buy a nice stack of comics this Wednesday and spend a wondrous Thursday afternoon of eating, reading, and sleeping.
