Robert Kirkman, famed creator of The Walking Dead, is now pairing up once again with AMC to adapt his comic book series Thief of Thieves. The series in is its infancy over at Image, but AMC is jumping on the property quickly, as they see plenty of promise in the premise. What’s the premise, exactly? A former thief, Conrad Paulson, steals stolen property back from other thieves.
Word is that Robert Kirkman is pairing up with Dexter writer Chic Eglee, who also did work previously on The Walking Dead, so Eglee too has experience with AMC.
This is definitely an exciting prospect for any Walking Dead, or AMC fan, as they continue to show that they’re thinking outside of the (excuse the pun) TV box, exploring unique ideas for show development. AMC again reminds me of why I pay for cable every month, more so than any other network.
