Who is Baboo?

Baboo made his comics debut in 1994's Saban's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #1 from Hamilton Comics, brought to the page by writer Don Markstein and artist Gray Morrow right as the Power Rangers phenomenon was exploding into pop culture. A villain-side presence in this early Modern Age tie-in series, Baboo haunts the same pages as the Pink, Black, Blue, and Yellow Rangers — including Billy Cranston himself — making him a recurring thorn in the side of some of the most recognizable heroes of the era. With appearances spread across Hamilton's Mighty Morphin Power Rangers titles and the companion Saga series, he's a genuine piece of mid-'90s licensed comics history that any Rangers collector will want on their radar.
