Chief O'Hara
A familiar face in the corridors of Gotham City law enforcement, Chief O'Hara made a quietly notable debut in the Bronze Age pages of Swamp Thing #7 in 1973, courtesy of the legendary team of Len Wein and Berni Wrightson. Over a remarkable 44-year stretch, this DC stalwart found his most comfortable home in the sun-drenched, pop-art world of Batman '66 and its delightful crossover series, rubbing shoulders with Batman, Robin, and Commissioner Gordon in that gloriously campy corner of the DC universe. He may not headline the story, but a character who endures from 1973 all the way to 2017 — and gets to share adventures with the Green Hornet and even Steed and Mrs. Peel — is clearly one of Gotham's most dependable fixtures, and a warm, nostalgic treat for any collector who loves the Silver and Bronze Age spirit kept lovingly alive.
