Chu Hsi
Chu Hsi stepped onto the scene in 1991, a product of the creative energy that made Archie's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures one of the most ambitious and socially engaged comics of the Copper Age — a title that consistently pushed beyond its cartoon origins into genuinely compelling storytelling. Debuting in issue #24, crafted by Dean Clarrain, Garrett Ho, and Jim Lawson, this character shares their adventures with some of the most beloved figures in the TMNT universe: Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, April O'Neil, and Fu Sheng. With appearances spanning both TMNT Adventures and the spin-off Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Presents: April O'Neil, Chu Hsi occupies a small but distinctive corner of a surprisingly rich comics mythology that deserves far more collector attention than it typically receives.
