Jay Little Bear burst onto the Marvel scene in 1968, a Silver Age original brought to life by the creative team of Gary Friedrich and Dick Ayers in the very first issue of Capt. Savage and His Leatherneck Raiders — a key-issue debut that collectors still seek out today. As part of that debut ensemble, Jay shares his wartime adventures with a colorful cast including Captain Simon Savage, the wisecracking Sgt. Sam "Yakkety" Yates, and the rest of the Raiders' distinctive roster.
