Lurking at the edges of Marvel's mystical underworld, Kkallakku made its unsettling entrance in 1991, conjured by the creative team of Roy Thomas, Dann Thomas, and Tony DeZuniga in the pages of Doctor Strange, Sorcerer Supreme. This Copper Age entity keeps extraordinarily dark company — sharing the shadowed corners of the Marvel cosmos with Doctor Strange himself, the thunder god Thor, and some of the most dread-inspiring fear-lords in existence: Nightmare, D'Spayre, and the Dweller-in-Darkness.
