Lieutenant Brown made their comics debut in the very first issue of Dreamwave and Devil's Due Publishing's Voltron: Defender of the Universe in 2003, stepping onto the page alongside fan-favorites like Lance McClain, Allura, Hunk Garrett, Pidge Stoker, and Sven Holgersson in what was a Modern Age revival of one of animation's most beloved franchises. With Dan Jolley and Mark Brooks bringing the series to life, that debut issue carries collector-significant key status — a meaningful distinction for a character with a compact but notable footprint across the run.
