Who is Mannen med Påskö-ansiktet?
Emerging from the Swedish alternative comics scene at the tail end of the 1990s, Mannen med Påskö-ansiktet made their debut in the pages of MegaPyton #1 in 1998, brought to life by creators Simon Gärdenfors and David Liljemark for Atlantic Förlags AB. A product of the Copper/Modern Age, this intriguingly named character — "the man with the Easter Island face" — inhabits a corner of Scandinavian underground comics where they share pages with the likes of Lisa Leavenworth, Buddy Bradley, and Betty Bradley. With only a handful of appearances across MegaPyton's short but spirited run, this is a genuine curiosity for collectors with a taste for late-'90s Nordic alt-comics at their most distinctive.
