Mistress Armada
Mistress Armada made her entrance in the very first issue of Devil's Due Publishing's G.I. Joe relaunch in 2001, a bold debut that immediately signals her importance to this Modern Age revival of one of comics' most beloved franchises. Created by Josh Blaylock and Steve Kurth, she carved out a place in a world populated by heavy hitters — sharing pages with the likes of Cobra Commander, Destro, Snake-Eyes, and Shana O'Hara across her appearances in G.I. Joe and G.I. Joe: Battle Files. With at least one collector-recognized key issue to her name and a presence that lasted through the mid-2000s run, she's a figure worth tracking down for any fan serious about this era of the Joe universe. Sixteen appearances across Devil's Due's catalog may not make her ubiquitous, but that relative rarity only adds to the appeal of hunting her down.
