Psi-Borg

Bursting onto the scene in 1992 courtesy of Scott Lobdell and M. C. Wyman, Psi-Borg is a Copper Age Marvel creation who made their mark in the high-octane espionage world of Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. — a series that's always been a magnet for dangerous, larger-than-life characters. Sharing those pages with the legendary Colonel Nick Fury himself, alongside the likes of Knockabout and Violet Pinkerton, Psi-Borg clearly inhabited a corner of the Marvel Universe where intrigue and action ran deep. With around ten catalogued appearances concentrated in a tight early-'90s window, this is precisely the kind of cult-status figure that rewards the dedicated back-issue hunter — a hidden gem of the spy-fi genre waiting to be rediscovered.
