Rote Spinne
Emerging from the mid-nineties comics landscape, Rote Spinne made their debut in Marvel Special #1 (1997), brought to life by the creative team of Mark Waid, Reinhard Schweizer, and Ron Garney for Panini Deutschland. This Modern Age character shares their pages with some of Marvel's most iconic web-slingers — Peter Parker, Spider-Man, Ben Reilly, and the Scarlet Spider among them — placing Rote Spinne squarely in the thick of one of the era's most tangled and beloved corners of the Marvel universe. With appearances spanning Spider-Man, Spider-Man Special, and even Wolverine titles, and at least one collector-recognized key issue to their name, Rote Spinne may have a compact catalog presence of 21 appearances, but they're a genuinely intriguing piece of Panini's German-market Marvel history well worth tracking down.
