Super-Patriot
Few characters make an entrance quite like Super-Patriot — stepping onto the Copper Age Marvel stage in 1987, conjured by Steve Englehart and Al Milgrom in Marvel Age Annual #3 as a pointed counterpoint to the star-spangled legend himself. This Marvel creation carved out his niche squarely in the orbit of Captain America, sharing pages with Steve Rogers, Rachel Leighton, and Diamondback across the Captain America series, making him very much a product of that book's rich, politically charged era. With a key issue already to his name and a run stretching into the mid-nineties, Super-Patriot is a compact but genuinely consequential figure — the kind of Copper Age character whose handful of appearances punch well above their number for serious Marvel collectors.
