Wal Nutt

Wal Nutt cracked open the pages of Valiant in October 1962, a Silver Age creation born from the collaboration of writer Kenneth Bulmer and the supremely talented artist Jesús Blasco. Published by IPC through the early 1970s, Wal shared his comic-book world with a wonderfully named cast — "Maggot" Malone, the thunderous Captain Hercules Hurricane, and what appears to be a whole Nutt family in Ches, Hazel, and Nora — suggesting a strip with real character and community at its heart.
