Alessandro Bilotta

Alessandro Bilotta was born on 17 August 1977 in Italy. He is best known as a prolific writer for the long-running horror series *Dylan Dog*, where he has contributed to numerous issues and specials. Beyond his work on the flagship title, Bilotta created the spin-off series *Il Pianeta dei Morti* and authored the dystopian graphic novel *La Dottrina*, which draws on Futurist influences. He also launched his own comic book series, *Mercurio Loi*. In 2021, Bilotta wrote *Ianus*, a Batman story set in Rome for the anthology *Batman: The World*, which featured international creators setting the character in their home countries. His style often blends genre tropes with philosophical or historical undercurrents. Bilotta has collaborated extensively with artists on *Dylan Dog* and its related series, including *Dylan Dog Color Fest*, *Dylan Dog Oldboy nuova serie*, and *Maxi Dylan Dog*, as well as on the title *Valter Buio*. His career in comics has been active from at least 2008 through 2025.
