Alitha E. Martinez

Alitha E. Martinez is an American comic book artist recognized for her work across the major publishers, including Marvel, DC, Image, and Archie. She is best known for her contributions to Marvel’s *Iron Man*, DC’s *Batgirl*, and the *Heroes* webcomics. Born in the United States, she entered comics through a combination of formal art training and independent publishing, eventually breaking into mainstream work. Her style is marked by clean, expressive linework and a strong sense of character dynamics, often collaborating with writers like Ta-Nehisi Coates and Roxane Gay. Martinez co-created the character of Aneka in *Black Panther: World of Wakanda* and contributed to *Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur*, *Miles Morales: Spider-Man*, and *WWE Slam City*.
