Amy Chu
Amy Chu (born 1968) is an American comic book writer and the founder of the imprint Alpha Girl Comics. She is best known for her work on a wide range of licensed and creator-owned titles, including the six-issue miniseries *Poison Ivy: Cycle of Life and Death* and several issues of *Sensation Comics Featuring Wonder Woman* for DC. Her career took off in the mid-2010s, and she quickly became a prolific writer for publishers such as Dynamite Entertainment, where she wrote *Red Sonja*, *Dejah Thoris*, and the crossover *Red Sonja and Vampirella Meet Betty and Veronica*. She also wrote for *Green Hornet* and other series. Chu’s writing often blends action, character-driven storytelling, and a sharp sense of humor. In 2023, she won the Bram Stoker Award for Superior Achievement in a Graphic Novel. Her work has helped expand the visibility of female-led and diverse stories in mainstream comics. Chu continues to write and publish, maintaining a steady presence in the industry through both her own imprint and collaborations with major publishers.
