Anina Bennett
Anina Bennett is an American writer, editor, and producer best known for co-creating the early independent series *Heartbreakers* with her husband, Paul Guinan. Born in the United States, she began her collaborative work with Guinan in 1989, the same year *Heartbreakers* debuted. The series was notable for being one of the first to feature a team of female superheroes and to explore the concept of clones, marking a forward-thinking approach in the late 1980s. Bennett's career in comics spans the 1990s and early 2000s, with credits on titles such as *Dark Horse Presents*, *Agent X9*, and *Barb Wire*, as well as producing work for Dark Horse Comics. She is also recognized for her role in the *Boilerplate* robot hoax, a multimedia project blending history and fiction. Later in her career, Bennett turned to historical graphic novels, collaborating with Guinan on *Aztec Empire*. Her contributions to independent comics and her pioneering work with female-led stories have left a lasting mark on the medium.
