Aron Wiesenfeld was born on 12 August 1972 in the United States. He is an American painter, illustrator, and comic book artist based in San Diego, California. In comics, he is best known for his work on titles such as *Team 7*, *WildC.A.T.s*, *Cable*, and *Brass*, with his most prominent credit being the 1997 limited series *Deathblow/Wolverine* for Marvel Comics, which earned him an Eisner Award nomination. His comic career, spanning 1993 to 2007, saw him serve as artist, colorist, inker, and writer across twenty issues, primarily for Marvel, WildStorm, and Continuity Comics. Wiesenfeld’s signature style as a painter often depicts disquieting scenes of solitary youths, a theme that has carried into his fine art. His paintings have been exhibited at venues including Arcadia Contemporary in New York City, Unit London, the Long Beach Museum of Art, and the Bakersfield Museum of Art. After his active comic book period, he transitioned fully to gallery work, building a reputation for atmospheric, emotionally charged imagery. His legacy rests on a relatively brief but impactful comics run, particularly his collaboration with writer Brian Augustyn on *Deathblow/Wolverine*, and his subsequent success as a fine artist.
