Aw Yeah Comics: Action Cat & Adventure Bug #[nn] (2016)
Art Baltazar, born in 1968, is an American cartoonist who has built a distinctive career at the intersection of all-ages storytelling and superhero comics. Working primarily for DC Comics, he is perhaps best recognized for *Tiny Titans*, the long-running series that reimagined the Teen Titans cast as elementary-school kids, rendered in a bold, cheerful style that made the book equally accessible to young readers and nostalgic adults. His credits span artist, colorist, inker, letterer, and writer across more than 210 issues between 1994 and 2024, a range that reflects his command of the full comics-making process.

Beyond *Tiny Titans*, Baltazar has brought that same warmly cartoonish sensibility to titles including *Billy Batson & the Magic of Shazam!*, *Superman Family Adventures*, and *Green Lantern: The Animated Series*, as well as the cross-publisher curio *Itty Bitty Hellboy*, which applied his miniaturized, big-eyed approach to Mike Mignola's horror universe. His original series *Encounter* further demonstrated an appetite for work outside the established superhero franchises.
Baltazar's visual style — thick outlines, expressive simplified faces, and vibrant flat color — has become immediately identifiable and has helped define what thoughtful, genuinely child-friendly superhero comics can look like over the past three decades.
