Bob de Groot
Robert de Groot, born Robert de Groot on 26 October 1941 in Belgium, was a versatile comic book artist and writer who worked across several beloved European series. He passed away on 17 November 2023. De Groot began his career in the early 1970s, eventually becoming best known for his work on the humorous detective series *Percy Pickwick* and the long-running *Clifton* series, where he often collaborated with writer Turk. He also contributed to the iconic Western series *Lucky Luke*, handling art, coloring, and inking duties. His style was clean, expressive, and well-suited to both adventure and comedy, making him a reliable figure in the Franco-Belgian comic tradition. Over a career spanning from 1973 to 2020, de Groot was credited on 104 issues, with notable work appearing in *Kobramagasinet*, *Luckyserien*, and *Rattata*.
