Robert Frans Marie De Moor, known professionally as Bob de Moor, was born on 20 December 1925 in Belgium and died on 26 August 1992. He is remembered as a key figure in the ligne claire school of comic art, a clean, precise style he helped define. De Moor began his career creating his own series, but his most enduring work came as a collaborator. He assisted Hergé on several volumes of *The Adventures of Tintin*, contributing backgrounds, figures, and layouts. After the death of Edgar P. Jacobs, de Moor completed the unfinished *Blake and Mortimer* story *Professor Sató's Three Formulae, Volume 2: Mortimer vs. Mortimer*. His own series, including the *Bob de Moor reeks*, showcased his skill as both writer and artist. Over a career spanning from 1950 to 2019, he was credited on 119 issues, with his work appearing in *Tintin* and its various international editions. De Moor’s legacy is that of a master craftsman whose steady hand and clear line shaped some of the most beloved Franco-Belgian comics.
