Boichi, born Mu-jik Park on January 29, 1973, in South Korea, is a manhwa artist who transitioned to manga and built a career in Japan. He is best known for his detailed, cinematic artwork and his role as the artist on the hit science-adventure series *Dr. Stone*, which he co-created with writer Riichiro Inagaki. His precise, high-contrast style—often featuring intricate mechanical designs and expressive characters—also defined the sci-fi thriller *Origin*, which he wrote and drew himself. Boichi’s path into comics began in Korea, where he honed his craft on manhwa before relocating to Japan. There, his work on *Dr. Stone* (2017–2022) became a global success, leading to an anime adaptation. He also illustrated the spin-off *Dr. Stone Reboot: Byakuya* and contributed to *One Piece Ace's Story / Status Royale*. His key collaborators include Inagaki and, for earlier projects, writer Ryōsuke Fuji. Boichi’s legacy lies in bridging Korean and Japanese comics, bringing a polished, kinetic energy to shonen manga. He has received several industry honors, including the 64th Shogakukan Manga Award for *Dr. Stone*. He continues to work from Japan, remaining active in the industry as of 2025.
