Brian Clevinger was born on May 7, 1978. He is an American writer best known for creating the long-running webcomic *8-Bit Theater* and co-creating the Eisner-nominated comic series *Atomic Robo*. He also authored the self-published novel *Nuklear Age*. Clevinger entered comics through the early webcomic scene, where *8-Bit Theater* gained a substantial following for its sprite-based parody of the *Final Fantasy* video game series. This success led to his print work, most notably *Atomic Robo*, a series about a sentient robot built by Nikola Tesla, which he co-created with artist Scott Wegener. The book earned an Eisner Award nomination and spawned several spin-offs, including *Atomic Robo and the Flying She-Devils of the Pacific*, *Atomic Robo Presents Real Science Adventures*, *Atomic Robo and the Revenge of the Vampire Dimension*, and *Atomic Robo and the Deadly Art of Science*. Clevinger also wrote for the series *King: The Phantom*. His writing style blends science fiction, action, and sharp humor, often featuring clever, fast-paced dialogue. He was active in comics from 2007 through 2019, with his most credited work appearing on *Atomic Robo* and its related titles.
