Chuck BB
Chuck BB (born 1981) is an American comic book creator best known for his distinctive, punk-infused artwork on *Spider-Man*, *Fear Agent*, and the Oni Press series *Black Metal*. Born in the United States in 1981, BB entered the comics industry in the early 2000s, quickly making a name for himself with a raw, energetic style that blended horror, humor, and heavy metal aesthetics. His most notable co-creation is *Black Metal*, a darkly comedic series he wrote and drew for Oni Press, later collected as *Black Metal: Omnibvs*. BB’s signature work often features jagged linework, grotesque character designs, and a love for the macabre, making him a frequent collaborator with writers like Rick Remender on *Fear Agent* and *Strange Girl*. He also contributed to *CBGB*, a comic anthology tied to the legendary music venue, and worked on Marvel’s *New Avengers*. Active in the industry from 2004 to 2014, BB’s output includes 11 credited issues as artist, colorist, inker, and letterer, with his most-credited title being the *Secret Skull* series. While his career was relatively brief, his cult-favorite work on *Black Metal* and his contributions to indie and mainstream comics have left a lasting impression on fans of offbeat, visceral storytelling.
