Chynna Clugston

Chynna Clugston Flores, born August 19, 1975, is an American comic book creator best known for her manga-influenced teen comedy series *Blue Monday*. She grew up in Coarsegold, California, and began drawing comics in 1994. Her path into the industry led her to work across multiple roles—editor, penciler, writer, inker, colorist, letterer, and cover artist—for publishers including Oni Press, Dark Horse Presents, Marvel Comics, and DC Comics. Her signature style blends energetic, expressive character work with a clean, cartoonish line, often tackling slice-of-life stories with a punk-rock sensibility. Key collaborators included Oni Press, where *Blue Monday* became a defining title. She also contributed to anthologies like *Action Girl Comics* and handled art and lettering for series such as *Blood Letting*, *Dead Chicks in Lace*, and *Strangetown*, as well as licensed work on *Super Friends* and *Teen Titans Go!*.
