Daerick Gross
Daerick Gross, born Richard Gröss on January 28, 1947, was an American illustrator, writer, editor, and art director who carved a distinctive path through the comic book industry, particularly in the 1990s. He worked across major publishers including Marvel Comics, DC Comics, Chaos! Comics, Image Comics, and Innovation Publishing, contributing primarily as an artist, colorist, inker, and writer on over a dozen issues between 1988 and 2017. His most credited titles include *Anne Rice's The Vampire Lestat*, *Excalibur*, *Code of Honor*, and *Masques*. Gross also served as visual editor at inDELible Comics and art director at ACP Comics. Later in his career, he founded Studio G alongside his son, Dærick Gross. He passed away on December 8, 2023, leaving behind a body of work that reflects a dedicated, hands-on approach to storytelling and visual craft.
