Daniel Ceppi
Daniel Ceppi, born 3 April 1951 in Switzerland, was a Swiss comics artist best known for creating the series *Stéphane Clément, chroniques d'un voyageur*. He began his career in the late 1970s, contributing to publications like *Epix* and the influential French magazine *(À Suivre)*. Ceppi’s work often blended travelogue with adventure, and his detailed, atmospheric style—particularly his use of color—made his European comics stand out. He collaborated with writers and artists across the industry, but his signature creation remained the globe-trotting Stéphane Clément, which he wrote, drew, and colored for many years. Ceppi also worked on the German-language series *Unterwegs* and the Danish *Stephans rejser*, adapting his character for different audiences. After a career spanning from 1977 to 2016, he left a legacy as a thoughtful storyteller whose work captured the spirit of wandering. Ceppi died on 4 November 2024.
