Daryl Gregory
Daryl Gregory, born in 1965, is an American author who has worked across science fiction, fantasy, and comic books. He attended the Michigan State University Clarion science fiction workshop in 1988, and his novel *Pandemonium* won the 2009 Crawford Award. In comics, Gregory was active from 2011 to 2019, writing thirteen issues. He is best known for his work on *Planet of the Apes* titles, including *Planet of the Apes*, *Planet of the Apes Giant*, and the omnibus collections *Planet of the Apes Omnibus* and *Planet of the Apes Omnibus: After the Fall*. He also wrote for *Legenderry: Green Hornet* and *Dracula: The Company of Monsters*. His writing often blends genre elements with thoughtful character work. Gregory’s key collaborators in comics included various artists on these series. Later in his career, he continued to publish novels, maintaining a presence in speculative fiction. His legacy includes a reputation for intelligent, accessible storytelling across media.
