David A. Roach is a British comic book artist and writer, best known for his long association with the anthology *2000 AD* and his work on *Doctor Who Magazine*. Born in Wales, he has been active in the industry since 1989, contributing to a wide range of publishers including Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, Panini, and the gaming company Wizards of the Coast. Roach’s style is detailed and dynamic, well-suited to both science fiction and fantasy, and his most frequent collaborator has been writer John Tomlinson. Among his notable co-creations is the series *Hunter: The Age of Magic*, a dark fantasy epic for which he provided both art and writing. He also contributed to *Psi-Judge Anderson*, a spin-off from *Judge Dredd*, and illustrated for *Doctor Who Graphic Novel* and *Magnum Comics*. Roach’s later career has seen him continue to work primarily from his home base in Wales, maintaining a steady output of commercial and licensed work. While he has not received major mainstream awards, his consistent, professional body of work has earned him a respected place among British comic book creators, particularly within the *2000 AD* community.
