Deniz Camp
Deniz Camp is a Filipino-American comics writer best known for his work on *The Ultimates*, *Absolute Martian Manhunter*, and *Assorted Crisis Events*. Born in the United States, Camp entered the industry in 2017 and quickly gained attention for his inventive, high-concept storytelling. His breakout came with the miniseries *20th Century Men*, which showcased his talent for blending genre fiction with sharp, layered prose. Camp’s signature style merges speculative ideas with emotional depth, a quality that earned him five Eisner Award nominations in 2025—the most of any creator that year. His key collaborators include artists such as Juanan Ramírez and Filya Bratukhin, with whom he co-created *Maxwell’s Demons* and *Bleeding Hearts*. At Marvel, Camp revitalized *The Ultimates*, while at DC, he reimagined *Absolute Martian Manhunter* as a fresh take on the classic character. Later in his career, Camp has continued to push boundaries in independent and mainstream comics, cementing his reputation as a vibrant new voice in American comics. His work remains celebrated for its slippery, inventive prose and ability to make high-concept ideas feel intimate and urgent.
