Graham Higgins
Graham Higgins (born 1953) is a British comics writer, artist, designer, and lecturer. He is best known for his work on DC's *Doom Patrol* and *Animal Man* in the 1990s, as well as his contributions to the *Discworld* graphic novel adaptations, including *Mort: A Discworld Big Comic*. Higgins’s style blends detailed linework with a keen sense of design, often lending a quirky, atmospheric quality to his pages. He collaborated extensively with writer Grant Morrison on *Doom Patrol* and *Animal Man*, helping to define the surreal, metafictional tone of those runs. He also contributed to Marvel’s *Ghost Rider 2099* and the independent project *6:10 by the Schoolyard*. As a colorist, inker, and letterer on 15 issues from 1993 to 2022, Higgins demonstrated versatility across multiple roles. Later in his career, he focused on teaching and design, sharing his expertise with new generations of creators. While specific awards are not widely recorded, his work remains respected among fans of British and alternative superhero comics. Higgins’s legacy lies in his quiet, influential contributions to some of the most inventive comics of the 1990s.
