Hart Amos was an Australian comic strip writer and artist, born on 2 December 1916 and died on 8 June 2000. He is best known for his work on *The Adventures of Devil Doone*, a rugged adventure strip that he wrote and drew, as well as his contributions to *Superman* and *Superboy* during the mid-20th century. Amos entered comics in the late 1940s, with his earliest credited work appearing in 1947, and he remained active in the industry through 1969. His signature style blended bold, clean linework with a knack for dynamic action sequences, often collaborating with writers and editors on the *Devil Doone* series, which he helped define as a long-running feature. He also contributed to *Cosmo Cat Comics*, a lighter, humorous title, showcasing his range. Over his career, Amos was credited on 24 issues across titles like *Devil Doone Adventure Comic* and *Devil Doone*. Later in life, he stepped away from regular comics work but left a lasting mark on Australian adventure strips. While major awards are not documented in available records, his steady output and co-creation of the *Devil Doone* character remain his enduring legacy.
