Jason Waltrip

Jason Waltrip (born 1963) is an American comic book artist, writer, and letterer best known as one half of the Waltrip twins, a collaborative team with his identical brother John. The pair have worked together since the late 1980s, with Jason often handling art, inks, and lettering. He is most recognized for his work on *Robotech* comics, including *Robotech II: The Sentinels* and *Robotech: Prelude to the Shadow Chronicles*, as well as creator-owned titles like *Metal Bikini*, *Tsunami Girl*, *Amazon Gazonga*, and *Incredibelle*. His style is energetic and detail-oriented, suited to both sci-fi and action-comedy storytelling. Jason and John also ventured into webcomics, expanding their reach beyond traditional print. Active from 1989 to 2022, Jason Waltrip has been credited on 29 issues in the industry. His contributions to *Robotech* helped sustain the franchise's comic book presence during the 1990s and 2000s.
