Jeff Jensen is an American writer and journalist best known for his work in both mainstream comics and true-crime graphic novels. Born in 1970, Jensen began his comics career in the early 1990s, with his first credited work appearing in 1993. Over the next three decades, he contributed to more than two dozen issues, primarily as a writer but also as a colorist. His most prominent early assignment was on DC Comics’ *Team Titans*, but he gained wider recognition for his scripting on Marvel’s *X-Factor* and later for original series such as *Monster Attack Network* and *Firefly: Keep Flying*. Jensen’s signature work is the acclaimed *Green River Killer: A True Detective Story*, a graphic novel that adapts his father’s investigation into one of America’s most notorious serial murder cases; the book earned praise for its restrained, journalistic approach. He also wrote for the licensed *Rick and Morty* franchise in the series *Youth in Rickvolt*. Beyond comics, Jensen has been a longtime journalist, notably for *Entertainment Weekly*, where he covered pop culture. His later career has seen continued writing for both periodicals and graphic narratives. While he has not received major industry awards, his true-crime work remains a respected entry in the genre. Jensen’s legacy lies in bridging reportage and sequential art, often collaborating with artists like Jonathan Case.
