Jeffrey Moore
1958–
Jeffrey Moore is a Canadian writer, translator, and educator, born in Montreal in 1958. He is best known in comics for his brief but distinctive run as an artist in the mid-1990s, primarily on DC's *Valor* and Marvel's *Marvel Double Feature ... The Avengers / Giant-Man*, with a total of twelve credited issues between 1993 and 1995. Moore's path into comics was shaped by a strong literary background—he earned a BA from the University of Toronto, studied at the Sorbonne, and completed an MA at the University of Ottawa. His artistic style, though seen in a limited period, brought a clean, narrative clarity to superhero storytelling. Outside of comics, Moore has built a career as a novelist and translator, currently living in Val-Morin in the Quebec Laurentians. His work in comics, while not extensive, remains a footnote for collectors of the era, and his later life has been devoted to literary pursuits rather than sequential art. No major awards or major co-creations are recorded from his comics tenure.
