Jim Zub (born in Canada) is a comic book writer, artist, and educator whose work spans creator-owned projects and major superhero franchises. He is perhaps best recognized for the titles he originated at Image Comics: the fantasy-action series *Skullkickers* (2010), the supernatural thriller *Wayward* (2014), and the Hollywood horror story *Glitterbomb* (2016).

His entry into mainstream superhero publishing proved equally prolific. Over a career active since at least 2006, Zub has contributed as writer — and occasionally colorist and letterer — across more than 190 issues, with significant runs on *Thunderbolts* (2016), *Uncanny Avengers* (2017), *Champions*, *Avengers*, *Avengers: No Road Home*, and *Black Panther and the Agents of Wakanda*. In 2023 he spearheaded a reboot of the classic sword-and-sorcery franchise *Conan the Barbarian* for Titan Comics, demonstrating a consistent affinity for action-driven genre storytelling.
Alongside his comics career, Zub has long been committed to arts education, serving as program coordinator and art professor at Seneca College in Toronto — a role that kept him grounded in the craft and in mentoring the next generation of artists. His body of work reflects a versatility that moves comfortably between independent storytelling and the demands of shared-universe publishing.
