Mario Gully, who also works under the moniker O.M.G., is an American comic book writer and artist best known for creating the series *Ant*, which was first published by Arcana Studio and later moved to Image Comics. He was born in the United States and began his career in independent comics before landing work at Marvel Comics. From 2007 to 2009, Gully contributed illustrations to Marvel, most notably on *Marvel Illustrated: Treasure Island* and *Kidnapped!*, as well as *Marvel Adventures Hulk*. After this period, he returned to freelancing. His creator-owned series *Ant* remains his signature work, a project he wrote, drew, and inked, establishing him as a versatile storyteller. Gully’s style is energetic and clean, suited to both all-ages superheroics and literary adaptations. Over his career, spanning from 2004 to 2021, he has been credited on 19 issues, with additional work on *Custom: Triple A Baseball Heroes* and the *Ant* trade paperback. While he has not received major industry awards, his independent success with *Ant* helped solidify his place among self-publishing creators. Gully continues to work on personal projects, maintaining a presence in the small-press and freelance circuit.
