Matt Feazell
Matt Feazell, born in 1955 in Hamtramck, Michigan, is an American cartoonist best known for his long-running minicomic series *The Amazing Cynicalman*. His work is distinguished by a deliberately simple stick-figure art style, which he uses to deliver wry, humorous commentary on everyday life. Feazell’s approach to minimalism was notably cited by Scott McCloud in the introduction to *Understanding Comics*, where it is held up as an example of iconic art pushed to its extreme. Feazell’s career in comics began in the minicomics scene, and he has worked as an artist, colorist, inker, letterer, and writer across 11 issues from 1985 to 2023. His credits include *Zot!*, *Ant Boy*, *The Southern Knights*, *Pop Art Funnies*, and *Disney Adventures Comic Zone*. He is also the creator of *The Amazing Cynicalman* and *Ant Boy*. Feazell’s influence is felt primarily through his pioneering work in self-published minicomics and his demonstration that powerful storytelling can be achieved with the simplest of lines.
