Michael Uslan
Michael Uslan was born on June 2, 1951, in the United States. He is best known as a film producer and lawyer, but his path into comics began with a pioneering academic step: he became the first instructor to teach an accredited university course on comic book folklore. Uslan also worked as a writer, with credits spanning 69 issues from 1975 to 2023. His most frequent writing credits include *Justice, Inc.*, *Archie: The Married Life - 10th Anniversary*, *Archie*, *Betty and Veronica*, *Lone Ranger Green Hornet*, and *The New Adventures of Terry & the Pirates*. His style often blended pulp adventure with period authenticity, and he collaborated with artists and writers on these revival and continuation projects. Uslan’s legacy is most strongly tied to his work bringing Batman to the big screen as a producer, but his writing contributions helped sustain classic characters and genres in comics. He has received major industry awards for his producing and preservation efforts. Later in life, he remained active in film and comics, continuing to write and produce.
