Omar Dogan
Omar Dogan is a Canadian comic book artist and colorist best known for his dynamic, manga-influenced work on video game adaptations and martial arts titles. Born in Canada, he rose to prominence in the late 1990s and early 2000s as a key contributor to Udon Entertainment, the Canadian art studio and publisher founded in 2000. Dogan’s clean, energetic linework and vivid color sense made him a natural fit for Udon’s flagship *Street Fighter* series, where he co-created the *Street Fighter Legends* miniseries focusing on Chun-Li and Cammy. He also left his mark on *Robotech: Prelude to the Shadow Chronicles*, *Taskmaster*, and the fantasy series *Warlands*. A frequent collaborator with fellow Udon artists like Joe Ng and Jeffrey Chamba Cruz, Dogan’s style bridged Western superhero comics and Japanese manga, bringing a kinetic clarity to fight scenes. He also contributed to Marvel’s *Iron Fist*, adding his signature flair to the character’s kung-fu adventures. Active from 1999 to 2016, Dogan’s work helped define the look of licensed comic adaptations in the 2000s. While he has not received major industry awards, his influence endures among fans of fighting-game comics and Udon’s catalog.
