Rhianna Pratchett

Rhianna Pratchett, born 30 December 1976 in England, is a video game writer and journalist who extended her storytelling into comics. She is best known for scripting the acclaimed *Tomb Raider* (2013) and *Rise of the Tomb Raider* (2015), as well as *Heavenly Sword* (2007), *Overlord* (2007), and *Mirror’s Edge* (2008). The daughter of fantasy novelist Terry Pratchett and Lyn Purves, she initially worked as a journalist before transitioning to game narrative.

In comics, Pratchett was credited as a writer on 21 issues from 2008 to 2018, primarily for Dark Horse. Her most significant comic work includes the *Tomb Raider* series, *Mirror’s Edge*, and the prequel *Tomb Raider: The Beginning*. She co-created the *Tomb Raider Library Edition* collections, expanding Lara Croft’s origin story across media. Her style blends cinematic pacing with character-driven dialogue, often collaborating with artists like Nicolas Daniel Selma and Andrea Mutti.

Pratchett’s later career focused on game writing, where she won a Writers’ Guild of Great Britain Award for *Tomb Raider*.
