Robin Furth
Robin Furth is best known as Stephen King’s personal research assistant and the author of the definitive *The Dark Tower: A Complete Concordance*, a comprehensive guide to King’s epic fantasy series. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Furth began her career in academia, earning a doctorate in English literature before joining King’s team. Her deep knowledge of the Dark Tower universe led to her role as the primary writer for Marvel Comics’ graphic novel adaptations of the saga, starting with *Dark Tower: The Gunslinger Born* in 2007. Over a decade, she scripted 36 issues, including *The Drawing of the Three* and *The Gunslinger* arcs, often collaborating with artist Jae Lee and editor Ralph Macchio. Her work faithfully translated King’s sprawling narrative into a visual medium, earning praise from fans and critics alike. Furth’s later projects include additional Dark Tower comics and continued work as a research assistant. She has not received major industry awards, but her contributions to expanding King’s universe through both reference books and sequential art have cemented her legacy as a key steward of the series. She remains active in writing and research.
