Shaun Simon
Shaun Simon is an American comics writer best known for his collaborations with musicians from the band My Chemical Romance. Born in Clifton, New Jersey, he entered the comics industry in the early 2010s. His first major work was co-writing *The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys* with Gerard Way for Dark Horse Comics, expanding on the world of the band's concept album. Simon also wrote the supernatural series *Neverboy* for Dark Horse and later collaborated with Mikey Way on *Collapser* for DC Comics. He returned to the Umbrella Academy universe with the prequel miniseries *You Look Like Death*, focusing on the character Klaus Hargreeves. His other credits include work on *Art Ops*, *Paranoid Gardens*, and the anthology *Vertigo Quarterly CMYK*. Active from 2014 to 2024, Simon has been credited as writer on 22 issues. His style often blends punk-influenced aesthetics with dark humor and supernatural themes. He has not publicly received major industry awards, but his work on *The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys* has developed a dedicated following. Simon continues to write, contributing to both creator-owned and franchise-based projects.
