Simon Roy
1988–
Simon Roy is a Canadian comic book writer and artist, born in 1988. He is best known for his work on the 2012–2016 relaunch of *Prophet* from Extreme Studios, where he served as both artist and co-plotter alongside Brandon Graham. Roy’s style is detailed and expressive, often blending organic, alien landscapes with sharp, kinetic figure work, which made him a natural fit for *Prophet’s* sprawling sci-fi epic. Over a five-year period from 2012 to 2017, he contributed to 31 issues across several titles, including *Prophet: Earth War*, *The Field*, *Island*, *Captain Canuck*, and *Star Trek: Waypoint*. His collaborations with Graham and other creators on *Prophet* helped redefine the series as a critically acclaimed, visually inventive saga. Roy’s later work includes short stories and anthology contributions, though he has remained less prolific than some of his peers. While he has not received major industry awards, his contributions to *Prophet* have earned him a dedicated following among fans of modern, experimental comics. Roy continues to work in the medium, occasionally producing new art and stories that reflect his distinctive voice.
