Tad Stones

Edward T. "Tad" Stones was born on May 28, 1952, in the United States. He is best known as an animator, storyboard artist, screenwriter, producer, and director, particularly for his extensive tenure at The Walt Disney Company from 1974 to 2003. Stones created, wrote, and produced the beloved animated series *Darkwing Duck* and served as a producer on *Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers*, *Adventures of the Gummi Bears*, *Aladdin*, *Hercules*, and *Buzz Lightyear of Star Command*. His comic book work includes writing and providing art for several Disney and genre titles, most notably the *Disney's Darkwing Duck* limited series, the *Gargoyles / Darkwing Duck* crossover, and *Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers* comics. He also contributed to *Hellboy Animated: The Black Wedding*. Later in his career, Stones worked as a storyboard artist on the premiere of *Bob's Burgers* in 2011. His legacy is defined by his inventive, character-driven storytelling in both animation and comics, particularly his co-creation of the fan-favorite superhero parody Darkwing Duck.
